Pakistan Railways has announced that it has decided to arrange a special train from Karachi to Raiwind to cater for all the passengers visiting Raiwind to attend the annual Tablighi Jamaat congregation. The train will be leaving Karachi on November 6 at 1:30 PM, and arrive in Raiwind on November 7 at 8:00 AM. A return service is also available.
The service is one of the key services part of the strategic plan set up by Pakistan Railways for boosting its revenues. A ministry spokesperson stated that from this project, they are expected to garner approximately Rs 8.5 million to reach the broad target set up to generate over Rs 100 billion in revenues for the 2024-25 fiscal year. It has only just received its third largest success: garnering Rs 88 billion for the revenues of 2023-24. These revenues signal an astonishing recovery with a gain of 40% when compared to last year’s figures after having long years of suffering at the hands of fiscal burdens for this department.

On return, stops would be provided at major stations along the way so that the millions going to Raiwind get inexpensive, comfortable, and accessible means of returning back home.
