After a prolonged wait, Pakistani journalists have finally been granted visas by Indian authorities to cover the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023, including the highly anticipated match between Pakistan and India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14.
PCB Chief Zaka Ashraf, who had pressed for expedited visa approvals, is also set to arrive in India alongside the journalists. A total of 60 Pakistani journalists will be covering the World Cup, despite facing stringent visa checks due to Pakistan being on the Prior Reference Category (PRC) list. Zaka Ashraf postponed his journey to India until the visas for Pakistani journalists were confirmed.
