As part of the Electric Vehicles Policy for 2020–2025, the Engineering Development Board (EDB) has granted licenses to 34 electric vehicle manufacturers, indicating a shift away from traditional fuel-powered cars and toward electric ones.
Asim Ayaz, a senior EDB official, spoke about the finance difficulty that consumers face as a result of the increased costs of electric vehicles, which are mostly driven by battery expenses, during a webinar held by the Sustainable Development Policy Institute.
