Affordable Housing Takes Shape in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, inaugurated a new low-cost housing project in Jalozai, District Nowshera, on Wednesday. This development is part of the Naya Pakistan Housing Program (NPHP), which aims to provide affordable housing to citizens. The project is designed to meet the housing needs of lower-income families, offering them modern living spaces at a fraction of the usual cost.
Sprawling Project with Modern Facilities
The Jalozai housing project spans over an area of 150 kanals, with a total investment of Rs. 3.3 billion. This substantial investment will result in the construction of 1,320 residential apartments, each covering 780 square feet. The scheme is aimed at addressing the housing crisis in the province by offering well-constructed and affordable residential options for those in need. The apartments are equipped with essential facilities, ensuring a comfortable and convenient living experience.
Boosting Local Economy and Job Creation
This housing scheme is expected to play a key role in boosting the local economy by generating employment opportunities during the construction phase. In addition, the provision of affordable housing will positively impact the socio-economic landscape of the region, giving people a chance to improve their living standards. The project aligns with the government’s broader vision of providing affordable housing solutions to the masses under the Naya Pakistan initiative.
Part of a Broader National Initiative
The Jalozai project is one of many schemes being launched under the Naya Pakistan Housing Program, which is a key initiative of the federal government. The program aims to construct millions of affordable housing units across the country to cater to the needs of lower and middle-income households. With projects like this, the government is steadily moving towards achieving its goal of reducing the housing deficit and improving access to quality housing.
