Pakistan and Thailand recently agreed to supply the Pakistan Army with 100 “First Win” 4×4 armored vehicles. The agreement was signed in September 2024 and entails the transfer of vehicles produced by Thailand’s state-owned Thai Defence Industry Company (TDI) to Pakistan’s Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT). The transfer of production technology will allow HIT to locally manufacture the vehicles later on. In a joint humanitarian exercise, 44 medical students from Gaza have been temporarily relocated to Rawalpindi Medical University (RMU) in Pakistan, where they can continue their studies after having been displaced by recent escalations in Gaza.
