PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari visited the flood-hit district of Mirpurkhas, where he distributed ownership papers for newly constructed houses to families displaced by the 2022 floods.
Women Given Priority in Ownership
Under the Sindh People’s Housing for Flood Affectees (SPHF) project, women were prioritized as homeowners. Bilawal personally handed over documents to female recipients, highlighting the party’s focus on women’s empowerment through property rights.
A Step Toward Restoring Lives
Addressing residents in villages like Ghumbri and Wagharji, Bilawal assured families that the homes now belonged solely to them. “No one can take these away from you,” he stated, as emotional residents welcomed him with gratitude and warmth.
More Houses on the Way
Accompanied by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and other officials, Bilawal shared that the housing effort is ongoing, with many more homes under construction for those still waiting.
This visit marks a hopeful chapter in Sindh’s recovery—offering not just shelter, but a fresh start for communities rebuilding their lives.
