The Government of Pakistan has announced the entry of Azerbaijan-registered vehicles for transit and bilateral trade cargo under the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Transit Trade Agreement 2024. This move aims to facilitate seamless trade between the two countries.
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued SRO.2016(I)/2024, introducing the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Transit Trade Rules 2024. It enables Azerbaijan’s cargo to be processed through Karachi Port, Port Muhammad Bin Qasim, and Gwadar Port, supporting imports to and exports from Azerbaijan via Pakistan’s ports.
