Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has announced a notable gas and condensate discovery from the Upper Sand reservoir at its Pateji X-1 well in Sujawal District, Sindh. The well is producing 12.4 MMSCFD of gas and 196 barrels of condensate daily, with a flowing pressure of 2,551 psi.
This marks the second success at Pateji X-1, following a previous find in November 2024. Operated by PPL with 63% interest, alongside joint venture partners, the discovery promises to boost Pakistan’s energy reserves and reduce dependency on imports.
