A historic rail link between Pakistan and Russia is set to launch, with the first test cargo train expected to reach Pakistan by March 2025. The train will traverse through Turkmenistan and Iran before entering Pakistan at the Taftan border, strengthening trade ties between the two nations.
Led by Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari, Pakistani officials visited Moscow to sign a protocol for the project, with the formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) awaiting final approval. This rail corridor will facilitate the transport of goods, including energy resources, agricultural products, and machinery, marking a significant milestone in boosting bilateral trade and economic growth.
