ICC Men’s Player of the Month for October 2024- Nauman Ali- Pakistani spinner, who stunned England in Test series in Pakistan, played a crucial role as Pakistan won back the three-match Test series 2-1, an achievement that has not been seen by the team in almost three years. He took an astonishing 20 wickets at an average of 13.85 in the two matches he bowled, including match figures of 11 for 147 and 9 for 130 in consecutive Tests.
His most significant contribution was in the second Test where he took his career-best, 8 for 46, to ensure Pakistan defended a target of 297 and won a historic home series. He proved his all-round ability in the final Test itself by scoring vital 45 runs at the right moment, creating a lead for Pakistan which enabled the latter to post a nine-wicket win.
