Traffic Measures to Ensure Smooth Flow
The City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi has rolled out a detailed traffic management plan to facilitate the upcoming Pakistan-England cricket match, scheduled at Rawalpindi Stadium from October 21 to 23. This plan aims to maintain uninterrupted traffic flow and minimize disruptions in the surrounding areas.
Deployment of Traffic Officers and Wardens
A total of 370 traffic officers and wardens have been deployed around the stadium to manage vehicular movement and provide guidance to the public. Officers will direct traffic to alternate routes and ensure that the roads near the stadium remain accessible for emergency services and public transit.
Special Parking Arrangements
To accommodate the expected influx of spectators, special parking facilities have been arranged. Motorcycles will be directed to Shahbaz Sharif Park, while cars will be parked at the Civil Aviation Ground and Degree College Ground. These measures aim to reduce congestion around the stadium and ensure efficient parking for all attendees.
Public Cooperation Urged
The CTP has called upon the public to cooperate by following the traffic guidelines and using the designated parking areas. The comprehensive traffic plan is expected to significantly reduce any traffic-related disruptions during the match days.
