The Pakistan Navy organized an event titled “A Day with Pakistan Navy” for students from various universities and colleges to provide them with insights into the functioning, organization, and defense capabilities of the Pakistan Navy.
A total of 250 students, accompanied by faculty members from Lahore Garrison University and various cadet colleges, attended the event under the supervision of TABA Foundation, according to a news release from the Pakistan Navy on Thursday.
During the event, Commander Central Punjab, Rear Admiral Azhar Mehmood, interacted with the students and faculty, informing them about the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to protecting the country’s maritime frontiers. He also emphasized the importance of the maritime sector for developing nations and explained how a strong navy can contribute to a nation’s economic development.
The event included a demonstration of combat readiness by troops, a display of arms and equipment, and an anti-terrorist demonstration by the Pakistan Marines and Special Service Group (SSG) of the Pakistan Navy. The students showed great interest in the briefings about the Pakistan Navy’s roles, responsibilities, and the latest platforms available in the PN Fleet. The visiting students and faculty members praised the commitment and professional competence of the country’s maritime defenders.
