The export of pharmaceutical goods from Pakistan saw an increase of 3.90% during the fiscal year 2023-24 compared to the previous year. According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the country exported pharmaceutical products worth US$ 341.023 million from July 2023 to June 2024, up from US$ 328.210 million during the same period in 2022-23.
In terms of quantity, the export of pharmaceutical goods rose by 44.38%, increasing from 59,213 metric tons to 85,492 metric tons.
Year-on-year, the pharmaceutical goods’ export surged by 32.92% in June 2024 compared to June 2023. Exports in June 2024 were recorded at US$ 29.128 million, up from US$ 21.914 million in June 2023.
However, on a month-on-month basis, pharmaceutical exports decreased by 24.47% in June 2024, down from US$ 38.566 million in May 2024.
