Pakistan’s cement exports experienced a significant increase of 40.36% during the fiscal year 2023-24 compared to the previous year. The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported that cement exports amounted to $266.516 million from July 2023 to June 2024, up from $189.876 million in the corresponding period of 2022-23.
In terms of quantity, cement exports surged by 66.85%, rising from 4,247,470 metric tons to 7,087,401 metric tons. On a year-on-year basis, June 2024 saw a 39.58% increase in cement exports, reaching $29.719 million compared to $21.292 million in June 2023.
However, on a month-on-month basis, cement exports in June 2024 decreased by 7.85% from $32.251 million in May 2024, according to PBS data.
