The Ministry of Federal Education has announced a plan to transition 100 primary schools to solar energy within the next two months. This initiative aims to cut electricity costs and promote sustainability by utilizing renewable energy sources.
A spokesperson for the Ministry highlighted that the project, set to be completed by year-end, will involve installing solar panels on the roofs of selected schools. These systems will be tailored to meet each school’s energy requirements. The move is expected to save millions annually on electricity, with savings redirected towards enhancing educational facilities.
