The final training camp for the Pakistan Street Child Football team, in preparation for the Norway Cup 2024, will be held at the Pakistan Sports Complex from July 21 to 25. During this period, the selection of the squad for the Norway Cup 2024 will be finalized. The national team is set to depart for Norway on July 25 to participate in the event, according to a press release.
Last month, thousands of young athletes participated in trials organized by the administration of the Pakistan Street Child Football Team. This year marks the fifth time the team will compete in the Norway Cup, which will take place from July 27 to August 3 in Oslo. The national team achieved notable finishes in previous tournaments: second place in 2015 and 2023, and third place in 2016.
It is noteworthy that the Pakistan Street Child Football team was undefeated in last year’s Norway Cup. In the 2022 Street Child Football World Cup in Doha, Qatar, the team was undefeated in group matches but faced a narrow 4-3 defeat against Egypt in the decisive match. The team was the runner-up in the 2018 Street Child Football World Cup in Russia and secured third place in the 2014 tournament in Brazil.
