The Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has released the matriculation exam results, marking a significant milestone for over 250,000 students. Controller of Examinations Zahid Mian provided detailed insights, revealing that 174,000 students passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 69.75%.

Science Group:
- Pass rate: 73.91%
- Female students excelled with an 80% pass rate, while male students achieved 67%.
Arts Group:
- Pass rate: 55%
- Female students outperformed male students, with a 63% pass rate versus 38%.
The controller addressed issues of cheating, with 267 cases identified leading to over 60 FIRs being registered.
The results highlight significant gender differences, showcasing the academic achievements of female students and ongoing efforts to promote education for all.
For those without internet access, results can be checked via SMS using the board’s designated codes for each district.
Zahid Mian, controller of examinations, noted, “The matriculation exam pass rate of 69.75% reflects strong performance, particularly among female students. Our measures to ensure exam integrity have been robust, evidenced by FIRs filed in cases of malpractice.”
