Imad Wasim and Mohammed Amir have been included in the 29-member squad for Pakistan’s upcoming training camp at Kakul, Abbottabad, in collaboration with the Pakistan Army. The camp, scheduled to run from March 26 to April 8, aims to prepare players for the forthcoming series against New Zealand, England, and the T20I World Cup.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that the camp’s focus is on team building and enhancing the physical and mental strength of the players. Trainers and coaches will oversee a tailored training regime to improve fitness levels, agility, leadership skills, strategic thinking, and overall performance on the field.
This announcement follows the recent restructuring of the national selection committee, now comprising seven members, including former cricketers Mohammad Yousuf, Wahab Riaz, Abdul Razzaq, and Asad Shafiq, along with the head coach, captain, and an analyst.
The squad for the fitness camp includes Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, Sahibzada Farhan, Haseebullah, Saud Shakeel, Usman Khan, Mohammad Haris, Salman Ali Agha, Azam Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Irfan Khan Niazi, Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, Usama Mir, Mohammad Nawaz, Mehran Mumtaz, Abrar Ahmed, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Hasan Ali, Mohammad Ali, Zaman Khan, Mohammad Wasim Jnr, Aamir Jamal, Haris Rauf, and Mohammed Amir.
