Aliya Riaz, presently representing Rawalpindi Women in the ongoing tournament, showcased a stellar performance by smashing an impressive century against Multan Women at the Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.
Her unbeaten 118 runs in just 61 balls, comprising 4 sixes and 17 fours, not only led Rawalpindi to a formidable total of 182 runs with a loss of 4 wickets but also secured her the title of the highest run-scorer among women in the T20 format.
Surpassing the previous record-holders, Sidra Amin and Ayesha Zafar, who both scored 113 runs last year for Lahore Women, Aliya’s remarkable innings marked a milestone in women’s T20 cricket.
