The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Cricket Australia (CA) have reached a mutual understanding on various cricket-related matters, with an official agreement expected later this year, as disclosed by PCB management committee Chairman Zaka Ashraf.
The primary focus of the agreement is to avoid scheduling clashes between the Big Bash League (BBL) and Pakistan Super League (PSL), ensuring cricket enthusiasts can enjoy both leagues without conflicts. Additionally, the agreement emphasizes facilitating player availability and issuing NOCs for seamless league participation, fostering collaboration between PCB and Cricket Australia.
In a noteworthy initiative, Cricket Australia has extended an offer to train Pakistani curators. This involves sending Pakistani curators to Australia for specialized training to enhance their pitch preparation skills in Pakistan.
Simultaneously, both PCB and CA are exploring the possibility of scheduling U19, women’s team, and A team tours. This strategic move aims to provide young cricketers exposure to diverse conditions, enabling Australian players to acclimate to Asian conditions and Pakistani players to adapt to Australian pitches. The ongoing collaboration reflects a commitment to the development and growth of cricket on an international scale.
