A successful four-day visit to Qatar by the IT delegation led by Caretaker Minister for IT and Telecom Dr Umar Saif concluded, with significant engagements with Qatari officials, business groups, academia, and IT professionals.
Dr Saif emphasized the potential for Pakistani IT professionals and companies to contribute significantly to Qatar’s digitization efforts. He highlighted that registered Pakistani IT firms would offer professional services in Qatar, fostering collaboration between the two nations.
The Pakistan-Qatar IT Conference, held at the JW Marriott Marquis City Center in Doha, witnessed active participation from leading Pakistani IT companies.
Notably, a meeting between Dr Saif and CEO of Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) Mansoor Ebrahim Al-Mahmoud explored opportunities for mutual collaborations and investment in Pakistani startups, further strengthening bilateral ties.
