A cutting-edge driving simulator has been installed at the newly upgraded Police Driving School in Chiniot, marking another step in Punjab’s efforts to improve road safety and driving education.
The initiative aligns with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, who aims to reduce road accidents by introducing training practices that meet international standards.
The facility was officially inaugurated by District Police Officer (DPO) Chiniot, Abdullah Ahmed, who personally tested the simulator and inspected the upgraded driving school. Traffic police officials briefed him on the simulator’s advanced features and its benefits for both new learners and licensed drivers.
Expressing satisfaction with the initiative, DPO Abdullah Ahmed highlighted that the simulator will help enhance road safety, driver education, and compliance with traffic rules.
The simulator provides learners with a safe, controlled environment to practice driving skills, build confidence, and reduce risks before hitting real roads. He also announced plans to introduce a similar simulator at the Police Driving School in Chenab Nagar in the near future.
Citizens of Chiniot can now benefit from training programs at the Police Driving School, designed in line with global driving standards, and apply for driving licenses through the upgraded system.
