Pakistan is gearing up to face India in their third match of the ongoing 2023 ODI World Cup on October 14 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
The Men in Green had essential training sessions at the iconic venue to fully prepare for the highly-anticipated encounter. After their practice in Ahmedabad, wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan shared valuable insights with the Indian net bowlers. He stressed the importance of the mental aspect in cricket, especially in bowling, emphasizing that becoming a better bowler requires a sharp mind.

Using the examples of Shaheen Afridi and Jasprit Bumrah, Rizwan highlighted that they are world-class bowlers because they apply their intelligence when bowling.
It’s worth noting that the cricketer from Peshawar played a pivotal role in securing a remarkable six-wicket victory against Sri Lanka earlier this week. Rizwan played an unbeaten innings, scoring 131 runs off 121 balls, under challenging circumstances, leading the Green Shirts to a record-breaking run chase in the World Cup.
Under the leadership of Babar Azam, the team currently occupies the fourth position on the points table, having won their first two matches against the Netherlands and Sri Lanka.
