A 15-year-old girl hailing from Bhopal, India, has caught the internet’s attention due to her unwavering support for the Pakistan cricket team and its star player, Babar Azam.
This enthusiasm began during the opening match of the Men in Green against the Netherlands in the ongoing World Cup 2023 at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium. Accompanied by her mother, Alisha embarked on a journey from Bhopal to Hyderabad to witness the match and show her unwavering support, particularly for Babar Azam.
For a period of four years, she passionately supported Babar Azam, initially managing a social media fan page dedicated to him. However, her commitment to her studies eventually led her to deactivate the fan page.
Furthermore, this 15-year-old cricket enthusiast also holds hopes for improved political and cricketing relations between the neighboring nations. She expressed, “It’s heartening to witness support for both teams. As an Indian, I hold a deep affection for players like Shubman and Virat Kohli, but I also hold profound respect for Babar.”
Pakistan initiated their World Cup campaign impressively, securing an 81-run victory against the Netherlands and securing the third position on the points table. The Green Shirts will face Sri Lanka in their second game on October 10 at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, followed by a match against India on October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
